Getting a college education is really helpful to further your career and your quality of life, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you won’t make it big if you don’t go. In fact, some of the most successful celebrities, business owners, athletes, and more, either dropped out of college or never set foot in one at all. You’ll be surprised who they are.

1. Brad Pitt

That’s right, famous actor and unrefuted heartthrob Brad Pitt never finished his degree. In fact, he dropped out of the University of Missouri only a number of weeks before he was about to graduate with a degree in Journalism. He dropped out to chase his dream and his love of film, working odd jobs and taking minor roles for about a year until eventually making it big.

Years later, he gave the commencement speech to the graduating class of 2019, where he also received an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts Degree.
